Marion, IA – ESCO Electric Company, a subsidiary of the ESCO Group (Scintilla), announced the construction of a new facility along Highway 151 near Highway 13 earlier this year, reinforcing the company’s longstanding commitment to Marion and the region’s workforce. The groundbreaking ceremony will take place Wednesday, November 12th at 3:00 PM, in partnership with the Marion Chamber of Commerce. Attendees are asked to park at Victory Sports Center at 6240 N Gateway Dr, Marion, IA 52302.
The $8.5 million investment includes a 35,000-square-foot facility featuring 12,000 square feet of office space and 23,000 square feet of production, warehousing, and prefabrication capacity. The expansion is projected to create 18 new jobs over the next three years.
ESCO Group’s headquarters will remain at 3450 3rd Street in Marion, where the company moved into its current headquarters building in 2011. The new facility will allow ESCO Electric to relocate and consolidate key operational teams currently based at both its 3rd avenue and 3rd street sites, including electrical construction, warehousing, logistics, and prefabrication. Bringing these functions together under one roof will support improved collaboration, enhance operational efficiency, and free up the 3rd street headquarters for continued growth and expanded initiatives in ESCO Automation and ESCO Power & Safety Solutions.

Construction is underway with an anticipated completion date of November 2026.
In addition to their Marion headquarters, the company has operations in St. Louis, Minneapolis, Denver, Omaha and Des Moines.
