Zach Johnson Foundation Launches Executive Director Search
Cedar Rapids, IA, Feb. 16, 2023—The Zach Johnson Foundation announced today plans to hire its next Executive Director to lead the organization.
Since its inception in 2010, The Zach Johnson Foundation has been breaking down barriers for kids in Cedar Rapids. Through the creation of the Kids on Course program, children can access tutoring, after school activities, and mentoring easily. The program now serves more than 1,000 students each year in the Cedar Rapids Community School District and aims to interrupt the cycle of poverty and close the achievement gap through innovative educational supports.
Board Chair, Brent Cobb, and Vice-Chair, Beth Malicki, believe this is a pivotal time for the Foundation.
“The last twelve years have brought forth many important and meaningful milestones: significant learning results, the first class of second graders graduating high school, and a marquee golf event, to name three. But many unwritten chapters remain. The program is currently serving a quarter of the students with need in the Cedar Rapids Community School District. To reach our goal of serving more children we must expand the program without sacrificing its quality and create development capabilities to ensure sustainability.”
According to Cobb, The Foundation’s Board of Directors is excited to proactively drive a strategy that further develops financial resources and community relationships to meet the goals of the organization.
