The City of Marion is continuing with its first major update to the zoning code in over 30 years with the implementation of new zoning districts.
Having already completed the process for former Wards 2 and 4, the Planning & Development Division will continue the process for Wards 1 and 3. The proposed zoning map updates reflect both current land uses as well as the goals and objectives of the Marion Comprehensive Plan.
The City is hosting an open house solicit feedback from the public prior to the public hearing. The open house will be held from 4-6 p.m. this Thursday, July 28, 2022 at Marion City Hall (1225 6th Avenue).
