Marion, IA – The Marion Economic Development Corporation (MEDCO) board of directors welcomes four new board members to the team in 2022. At its January meeting, the board also approved term renewals, new board leadership, recognized outgoing board members. MEDCO board members attend monthly provide valuable insight and strategic direction for the community economic development organization.
“We are so blessed to have such a strong team of influential business leaders pouring into our staff, our community, and our strategy. I’m incredibly excited to welcome these new members to the MEDCO board as we continue to innovate and support business growth in Marion,” said MEDCO President, Nick Glew.
The four new board members include:
- Tom Pientok: President & CEO, Timberline Manufacturing
- Bryan Fiscus: Site General Manager, Marion Process Solutions
- Isaiah Borel: Member Services Supervisor, Linn County REC
- Tom Brown: Vice President & General Manager, ImOn Communications
- Emily Upah: Key Account Manager, Alliant Energy
Two board members were approved for term renewals including:
- Nicole Cavanah: Director, Global Sourcing - Business Services, Collins Aerospace
- Corbin Mollman: Sales Manager, Legacy Manufacturing
The board also recognized four outcoming board members, thanking them for combined service of more than 40 years to the MEDCO team. These individuals include:
- Maxwell Grant: CEO, OHE Industries
- Steve Carroll: Member Services Manager, Linn County REC
- Mary Meisterling: Economic Development Manager, Alliant Energy
- Bill Bogert: President, Anderson Bogert
The board appointed Cheri Monahan as Board Chair for 2022. Monahan is Vice President, Commercial Banking at Cedar Rapids Bank & Trust. Steve Neighbor, Executive Vice President at Farmers State Bank will serve as Incoming Board Chair.
