Marion and the surrounding area will soon have a new health care provider – UnityPoint Clinic – Tower Terrace.

 Located at 3731 Irish Drive in Marion (across from the new YMCA), the new clinic will break ground on May 25 at 4 p.m. and is scheduled to open the summer of 2022.

The Tower Terrace clinic will increase access to primary care in the community, UnityPoint Health said in a release. The 11,500-square-foot facility will offer family medicine and pediatric services. Patients will be able to schedule routine visits such as wellness exams and vaccinations as well as be seen for non-emergent, acute illnesses.

UnityPoint Health identified the city of Marion as one of the fastest-growing communities in the metro area, with an 18.5% growth in the last decade. Additionally, Tower Terrace Road is expected to become a main arterial connecting Marion, Cedar Rapids and Hiawatha within the next five years.

"UnityPoint Clinic – Tower Terrace will be ideally located to serve the expanding area and will fill a gap in primary care providers," officials said.
