Marion is home to two of the premier public school districts in the State of Iowa. With an average graduation rate of 95%, our schools equip students with an education allowing them to further their education or enter the workplace with skills to meet the 21st century economy.

Situated in the Cedar Rapids/Marion metropolitan area the Marion Independent School District provides a strong community school for our students while maintaining challenging curricular and co-curricular programming. Our district serves over 2000 students and combines the many advantages of a smaller school without sacrificing the quality opportunities afforded by our suburban setting. Kirkwood Community College features more than 120 academic programs and has an enrollment of 23,000+. Serving a seven county region, Kirkwood is a major economic driver in ICR Iowa.

 

 


Kirkwood's Workplace Learning Connection is a K-12 program that connects students in east central Iowa with business professionals that are interested in preparing our region's future workforce. Students become more prepared for the local job market, and businesses have the opportunity to mold potential employees, creating a hands-on way for students to explore careers while in high school.

Coe College is a selective, private, nationally recognized four-year coeducational liberal arts institution providing superior educational experiences for students since 1851. Coe's residential campus is located in Cedar Rapids - Iowa's second largest city - and only hours from several major cities like Chicago, Minneapolis, Omaha, and St. Louis.
