Apprentice Carpenter

Job type:Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math


Construct, erect, install, maintain and repair structures and components of structures made of wood, wood-substitutes and other materials.  Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements.  Have mathematical skills and analytical skills necessary to do material estimates.  Ability to organize assigned tasks and fulfill paperwork required.  Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials.  Build foundations, install floor beams, lay sub flooring and erect walls and roof systems.  Fit and install trim items such as doors, stairs, molding and hardware.

Starting salary:
$34.70 - $44.07

Training, certifications, or degree needed to qualify for the position:
