Description:
Police officers perform the line function of the police department. Work is performed in accordance with established routine and departmental regulations. Crime prevention, suppression, investigation, law enforcement, maintenance of the social order, and public service are the general duties of the Police Officer.
Starting salary:
$48,994- $70,108

High school diploma. AA degree preferred. Must have valid Iowa driver's license.

Loyalty, honesty and a caring attitude coupled with bravery and common sense. Knowledge of the geographies of the City of Marion and surrounding areas. Knowledge of criminal and traffic laws and ordinances and their proper application. Knowledge of first aid techniques including CPR and skill in their application.
