This role must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and currently registered with state board of examiners.  Advanced preparation or experience in geriatrics is preferred.  Supervisory experience is desirable.  Must have willingness to learn and provide compassionate care for the frail elderly and persons with dementia.

LPN/RN's are responsible for transcribing physician’s orders, administering medications and treatments as prescribed and providing professional nursing services.  They observe and communicate resident changes to the physician and are responsible for residents personal care needs as outlined in service plans. They assume responsibility for the communication logs and giving and receiving report to other staff.  This role responds to emergency calls promptly and continually evaluates residents needs and assists in development of an individualized service plan for a specific caseload of residents based on a comprehensive assessment.

LPN's and RN's also assist the Director of Nursing with employee and resident orientation, instruction, supervision and evaluation of nursing support staff.

They are role models who have constructive relationships with residents, families, and staff to create an environment that is supportive to optimal resident function, motivating for staff satisfaction and creativity, and that encourages family and staff partnerships for care of residents.

Starting salary:
$20.75 - $28.00/hr
