Treasury Management Representative

SCOPE:
The Treasury Management Representative 1 serves as a relationship manager for commercial customers. This position is responsible for selling deposit products/treasury management services to existing commercial clients and the financials needs of the business owner and their employees.
Perform the most sophisticated and difficult new account opening and related responsibilities associated with the customer service functions of the Bank. Individual will learn knowledge of commercial products and treasury management services in order to serve the customers of Hills Bank.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Introduce individual scorecard goals and work with supervisor to meet goals focusing on net commercial deposit growth
- Work with existing business relationships focusing on growing, maintaining and enhancing relationships
- Work with walk in business traffic and get to know the local businesses that utilize the branch
- Appropriate treasury management product knowledge
- Manages their own customer portfolio Treasury Management risk appropriately with supervisor
- Active involvement in bank and community events
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Sales Production and Business Development:
- Ensure customer retention by maintaining and servicing customer accounts and following up with large deposits, large withdrawals and account closures.
- Promote, explain, and sell treasury management products; increase client share-of-wallet and seek referrals.
- Managing personal portfolio of the largest, most profitable commercial customers. Enhance relationship with these customers throughout the year by personal visits, recognizing life events and inviting them to bank and community events.
- Develop and implement a pre-call plan with calling partners for new opportunities within the pipeline.
- Working to collaborate with Retail, Insurance, Home Mortgage and Trust and Wealth Management to generate referrals, focusing particularly on deposits.
- Utilize the bank’s CRM system to document customer interactions with the bank.
- Achieve commercial deposit and treasury management goals and track results to ensure performance; including net commercial deposit growth and treasury management services sold.
- Utilize 90 day plans to develop sales strategies and monitor results quarterly.
- In weekly check in the focus will be on sales success, strategies, pipeline movement, calls planned for next week, challenges or obstacles to overcome, review pipeline, scorecards and 90 day plans. Use this time to foster good communication with my supervisor to talk about all areas listed above.
- Participate in weekly pipeline meetings to discuss calls from last week focusing on successes, pipeline movement, new opportunities, strategies, new sales calls/opportunities for next week, bank and community events and actions items as a result of the meeting.
- Active involvement in bank, branch office and community events.
- Encourage participate in business development activities; represent the bank in professional associations, community organizations and local business groups.
Other Duties:
- Maintain educational and professional expertise through attendance at job-related seminars, conference and workshops.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- An Associate Degree or four-year college degree or equivalent is preferred
- The successful candidate will have experience in customer service.
- Must be a self-starter, take initiative, accept responsibility and have the ability to work independently.
- Must be able to work under stress and handle difficult situations.
- Must be willing to participate in community activities and events, which will include some evening and weekend hours.
- Knowledge of and residence in Linn, Johnson or Washington County is required.
- This job requires skills needed in a typical office environment. This includes computer skills, as well as utilization of office equipment.
- Valid driver's license.
