Safety Trainer
Description:
The Safety Trainer is an entry level position within the technical training delivery structure of ESCO Group. This position is best described as a contributing training resource for internal and external customers. Work executed will be with a multi-discipline team. This position requires acquisition and knowledge of technical training skills and knowledge.
Responsibilities and Duties:
The Safety Trainer will be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Provides user training to clients and employees as it relates to current electrical safety standards, OSHA standards, and company policies.
- Explains technical concepts clearly.
- Adapts material to audience needs.
- Responds to questions and concerns.
- Tracks and reports performance and progress.
- Maintains accurate training records and timely filing of completed projects.
- Works both internally and with client contacts to develop training plans and structured on-site time for training employees.
- Interfaces with employees and client to resolve technical questions, customer concerns, and serves as a technical resource to our employees and clients.
- Evaluates program effectiveness and assists in the development of curriculum as standards, regulations, and procedures.
- Provides technical product support, consulting, and technical services to customers and employees relating to electrical safety.
- Travels to customer sites for training, support, and preps facility for training classes.
- Works within employer’s sales plan to contact, schedule, and initiate business.
- Utilize, support, and enhance ESCO’s standards and best practices.
- Understand and follow all safety, conduct, and policy requirements established by ESCO and clients.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned or deemed necessary by management.

Training, certifications, or degree needed to qualify for the position:
Completion of an Associate’s degree program in a related discipline from an accredited college, technical school, or university; or
A combination of equivalent education and or experience will be considered with solid evidence of success.
Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and standards.
Working knowledge of most recent edition of NFPA 70E “Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace.”
Demonstrated to be highly proficient with computer technologies including but not limited to, Windows Operating Systems, and the use of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Preferred:
Experience with technical training.
Experience in an electrical environment.
Experience in business development.
