Rapids Foodservice Contract & Design, is searching for an eager and driven new Drafting and Design Specialist to join our Commercial Kitchen Design/Build team! Job Responsibilities Include:
- Assisting Director of Design and Senior Design Specialists.
- Work jointly our Director of Design, Sales team, and client to develop project scope.
- Provide support for the design team in developing commercial kitchen plans from schematic design through construction documents for clients.
- Prepare detailed construction documentation for coordination with mechanical, electrical, and plumbing trades.
- Quality control processing with design team to ensure integrity and accuracy of AutoCAD and Revit plans provided to clients and design team partners.
- Equipment specification verification to develop accurate utility and clearance requirements.
- Develop and maintains relationships with general contractors, architects, design consultants and others to ensure a strong pipeline of future design projects.
- Adheres to company’s standard operating procedures/protocols and uses preferred vendors to maximize pricing and rebates.
- Works with team to assess and establish priorities as needed to accommodate business and/or customer needs as applicable.
Starting salary:
$35K - $45K

Arts (digital design and design arts are a plus), mathematics (geometry and algebra are a plus), English composition courses for writing proficiency.
