August 10th will remind us of a day that changed our community forever. Disaster recovery has united our community in ways that taught us the power of unity and working together to drive resiliency and growth.  

You're invited to join Marion Economic Development, Marion Chamber of Commerce and Uptown Marion as we reflect on the one year anniversary of the 2020 Derecho. We’ll gather at City Square Park, the epicenter of storm damage but also the center of redevelopment and major infrastructure improvements. Today, it showcases one of the most active construction sites in the region.

Hear from local leaders and developers as they share brief remarks and showcase new development at 5:15. A check presentation will be made to Trees Forever from funds collected throughout the previous Future Focused Forums. Drinks and appetizers provided.

Attendees should enter the park from 6th Avenue to receive a complimentary drink ticket, good for one beverage. Water and appetizers will also be available.
