General Job Description: The role of project manager can involved many different facets of construction. Although a general knowledge of the construction process and installations is required, the main component is facilitating communications between all parties on a project. This involves handling of contracts, pricing, change coordination with architects, scheduling of work with contractors and suppliers, and other means of conveying information. The project manager is the leader of the project, always looking at the big picture with the end in mind. He or she is the connection between a building owner, the design team, and those actually putting the work into place.
