Property taxes are no doubt complex. The state establishes rollbacks, local elected leaders pass budgets, and new legislation potentially changes how the system works. In the end, it impacts you the tax payer most. Join us for our annual Property Tax Trends Luncheon on Friday, April 26th from 11:30-1 at Lowe Park in Marion. You’ll learn about the latest community growth trends and biggest priorities of our city and schools.

Bring your questions for Marion City Manager Lon Pluckhahn, Linn-Mar Superintendent Shannon Bisgard and Marion Independent Superintendent Chris Dyer. We’ve also extended special invitations to Senator Liz Mathis, Representative Ashley Hinson, and Representative Molly Donahue. The 2019 legislative session includes debate on bills that could impact how property taxes are levied at the local level.

Registration is $20 per person. Luncheon will be served at Lowe Park, 4500 N. 10th Street, Marion, IA.
